Academy Car - Build Day Two - Front Lights

Managed to get some building completed today - I forgot how long everything took when I put the R500 together, however the first thing I had to do was to get the engine out of the Camper Van 😀

I also got a call from Andy at Mint Alloys who said that the wheels were finished...  I've gone for the same 'Skoda Glitter Black' as I have on the R500 wheels, and at this point I must say, although I'm not a fan of the looks of the Apollo wheels, I'm a BIG fan of how light they are!  The wheels have subsequently been dropped off at Dave's (Daytona Coachworx) who will be painting the outer band on them too.

The front lights are finished.  Headlights have been IVA'd, wired up, shrink wrapped and fed through the nuts and bolts and bracket, so are ready for fitting... Well, that's after I've collected the front section from G&L coatings who are powder coating them, sounds odd, but looks good on the visual, so I'm hoping when it all comes together it will look smart.

The front wings have also had the side repeaters fitted, and the IVA trim too.

That's it for the week, tomorrow is the first proper piece of 'Academy Action'... the seminar! woo hoo! 😁
